Lonsbury Growth Opportunity Analysis
How Growth Opportunity Analysis Works
Here is the typical sequence, from an initial conversation through the management presentation. The actual scope and timetable are confirmed before you engage Lonsbury.
At a glance
Typical engagement: approximately three to four weeks after kickoff and receipt of usable records, subject to confirmation in the proposal. Your primary commitments are an initial discussion, accessible records, targeted clarifications and a management presentation.
From first conversation to final presentation
-
Initial conversation and written proposal
We discuss your growth decision, alternatives under consideration, operating constraints, and the records available. If the analysis appears appropriate, we prepare a written proposal stating the management question, scope, records required, deliverables, fixed fee, and anticipated schedule. You review and approve before work begins.
-
Kickoff and records request
We confirm the choices to be evaluated, the responsible contacts, and the data definitions. Your operations or finance contact supplies an agreed, preferably de-identified extract from existing systems, typically customer or account ID, services, revenue, dates, geography, and relationship status. Available margin, capacity and marketing-spend context may also be requested.
-
Evidence review and market research
Lonsbury reconciles material data inconsistencies and determines which comparisons are supportable. We examine customer and service patterns and gather relevant external market evidence. We contact your team only when a clarification could materially change a conclusion; if significant missing data alter the scope, we discuss the options before proceeding.
-
Recommendation and management review
Lonsbury compares the agreed growth choices, develops the written recommendation, states supporting evidence and assumptions, and identifies significant uncertainty. Your leadership team receives the analysis and participates in a facilitated presentation to discuss resource choices, trade-offs and next decisions.
What we need from your team
A senior sponsor defines the decision and attends the management presentation. An operations or finance contact assembles the agreed records; other leaders participate as needed. Exact attendance, meeting lengths and staff hours are established in the proposal rather than presumed here.
Practical questions
Do we need special accounting or spreadsheets?
No new analytical model is required from your team. We begin with existing exports. We confirm during scoping whether those records can answer the agreed question responsibly.
What if our records are incomplete?
We explain what the available evidence can support and may narrow the question or recommend a separate preparation step. We do not turn a revenue pattern into a profitability finding without adequate cost evidence.
How are our records handled?
We request only the agreed data needed for the analysis, preferably without names or other direct personal identifiers. Secure transfer, permitted use, retention, and deletion procedures will be specified in the engagement terms before any records are shared.
